Walker Healthforce is seeking an Information Security Specialist with 5+ years of experience. This is a 7-month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IS Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and advancement of the EIS Data Security practice. This role will serve as a subject matter expert on data security, capable of partnering across technical and business teams to interpret, influence, and strengthen our data security and privacy posture. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Data Security team to combine technical expertise with strategic vision, demonstrating drive, clarity, and a passion for securing sensitive information and ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements.

Walker Healthforce is seeking an Information Security Specialist with 5+ years of experience. This is a 7-month contract opportunity.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- 5 years of IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, systems administration and 2 years of experience with IT security required.
- In-depth knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms required.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions.
- A high proficiency level in specific job-related skills is required.
- Information Security certification preferred - Security Certification (i.e., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)).
- Familiarity with endpoint security, network security, or cloud security concepts.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking fundamentals.
- Exposure to DSPM technology.
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Experience with database management systems like Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Deep knowledge in database design, development, and administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, OR
Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
