Job Description:

Position: Network Engineer - Meraki

Location: Minneapolis, MN - Hybrid, though primarily in-office

Duration: 12+ months

Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Job Description:
  • Seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer
  • Primary responsibility: Install, configure, and maintain Meraki equipment across US office locations
  • Ideal candidate: Extensive knowledge of network systems, strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team

General Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with feet-on-the-street technicians to install and configure Meraki network equipment (routers and wireless access points)
  • Troubleshoot network issues related to Meraki equipment and provide timely resolutions
  • Monitor network performance using Meraki Dashboard and other tools; implement necessary adjustments for optimal performance
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Meraki solutions with existing infrastructure
  • Provide technical support for end-users experiencing connectivity issues
  • Document installation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in Meraki technology and best practices
  • Work with non-technical local site contacts to perform basic testing and ensure proper functionality of installed equipment

Required Qualifications:
  • Number of Years Experience Preferred: 5+
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA) are a plus
  • Proven experience with installing and managing Cisco Meraki products in an enterprise environment
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP/DNS configuration
  • Proficiency in using the Meraki Dashboard for monitoring and management purposes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex network issues quickly
  • Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-tech stakeholders

Additional Information:
  • Some early evening work required as part of the project delivery
  • Flexible schedule on those days (11am-7pm); normal schedule is 9am-5pm
  • No weekend or holiday work expected per the project schedule
