Job Title: SAP Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN (hybrid, locals only)
Type: One year, Contract / Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP HCM Payroll, including schemas, PCRs, wage types, and country-specific regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of both functional and technical SAP capabilities, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into agile stories and technical specifications. Candidates must have hands-on experience designing, configuring, and supporting enterprise-level SAP Payroll solutions, with strong ABAP skills for custom functions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6+ years of SAP HCM Payroll experience in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of SAP Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, and country-specific compliance
  • Techno-functional background with the ability to lead solution design, configuration, and development
  • Proficient in ABAP for developing and troubleshooting custom payroll functions
  • Proven ability to write detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria in agile environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency and ownership

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and development of complex SAP Payroll solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and agile deliverables
  • Perform end-to-end testing, issue resolution, and support post-implementation efforts
  • Analyze current business processes and recommend SAP-based improvements
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of SAP HCM modules
  • Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit evaluations
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for troubleshooting and solution delivery
  • Provide functional expertise, training, and guidance to end users and project teams
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards, best practices, and project timelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrated solutions meet business goals
