Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for a CAE Optimization Engineer (Mid-Level).
Job Description:
Job Title: CAE Optimization Engineer (Mid-Level)
Job Location: Newark, CA
Work Schedule: On-site
Rate: $85/hr on W2, Based on experience.
Responsibilities:
This role supports Client s design team across multiple domains
- NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing by applying advanced CAE optimization techniques to reduce mass, enhance performance, and guide design decisions. You ll contribute to both current and future vehicle platforms.
Responsibilities
- Set up and execute structural optimizations (design space, constraints, objectives, etc.)
- Interpret results and propose manufacturable solutions
- Perform subsystem and full-vehicle level optimization (stiffness, stress, mass)
- Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization strategies
- Use tools like OptiStruct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
- Collaborate cross-functionally to balance performance across attributes
- Provide design guidance during concept phases
- Script in Python or TCL (a plus)
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience, with 1 2 years in optimization
- Strong FEA fundamentals and CAE optimization knowledge
- Familiar with OptiStruct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
- Enthusiastic, quick learner, problem solver, and team collaborator
- Performance assessed via task-based evaluations
