ITSM Engineer

Location: Eagan, MN

Hybrid: 2 days onsite/week

Contract | 3+ Months

About the Role

Client is seeking a skilled ITSM Engineer to design, configure, and automate ITSM tools and workflows that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. This role plays a key part in our migration from ServiceNow to TeamDynamix and requires strong collaboration across teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Design, document, and implement ITSM solutions aligned with business needs

Automate workflows and processes to improve scalability and efficiency

Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize service delivery

Develop integration requirements between ITSM platforms and enterprise systems

Provide guidance and training to IT staff and end-users on ITSM tools

Monitor KPIs and ITSM metrics to identify areas for improvement

Mentor junior team members and offer technical leadership

Participate in on-call rotation, including occasional after-hours and weekend support

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in ITSM or related fields

Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms such as TeamDynamix, Jira, or ServiceNow

Strong understanding of ITSM processes: incident, change, release, configuration

Proven ability to automate workflows and analyze performance metrics

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Experience mentoring team members and collaborating with diverse stakeholders

Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools

Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in CMDB management, including CI relationships and discovery processes

Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on-premises)

Proficiency in SQL for CMDB reporting and analysis

Familiarity with Device42 software

Background in AI and automation for process optimization

Experience with system integrations involving ITSM platforms and discovery tools
