Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Field Support Engineer to join our team supporting a large federal government customer.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Actively monitor multiple support request channels (email, MS Teams, phone) and respond quickly to requests for assistance.
  • Participate in weekly and ad-hoc meetings with the customer to provide status and perform support planning activities for upcoming system deployments.
  • Support co-workers as needed to provide an outstanding support experience for end users.
  • Proactively communicate with customer locations in anticipation of system updates, new deployments, etc.
  • Work with the larger engineering team to plan and execute system modernization efforts, development of new functionality, and program roadmap planning.
  • Submit weekly and ad-hoc status reports in support of customer requirements and contract deliverables.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • BS Degree + 4 years or 8 years total experience in IT / help desk support, etc.
  • The ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret government clearance, which requires ship
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. This will be a key discriminator in candidate selection.
  • Ability to work both independently (minimal supervision) and as part of a support team.
  • Strong knowledge of general Windows, web, and peripheral technical support competencies and best practices.
  • Desire to contribute to team success beyond routine day-to-day responsibilities and tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet short deadlines under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, and work, with end users whose native language is not English.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Previous experience working with biometric technologies.
  • Ability to craft and execute simple to moderately complex database scripts (MS SQL).
  • Security+ Certification , any IT certification(s).
  • Prior experience working with U.S. Federal Government agencies/departments.
  • Availability to travel overseas occasionally if/when needed.

Security Clearance Requirement:
A security clearance is not required to apply; however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. citizenship, prior to the start date.

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
