RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a SQL Data Migration Specialist in Saint Louis, MO.
Position Overview:
The Data Migration Specialist will play a critical role in our SAP implementation project by developing and executing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and format data from legacy systems for seamless upload into SAP systems. This position requires strong technical expertise in SQL and data migration processes, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* SQL Data Migration Specialist will develop and execute complex SQL queries to extract data from legacy systems
* Transform and format data to meet SAP system requirements and ensure data integrity
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP consultants and business analysts, to understand data migration needs and requirements
* Perform data quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated data
* As a SQL Data Migration Specialist, you will design and document data migration processes, including mapping logic and reconciliation procedures
* Support testing and troubleshooting activities related to data migration
* Ensure compliance with project timelines and deliverables in coordination with the wider SAP implementation team
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries in a professional setting
* Strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
* Proficiency in database systems (primarily MS SQL Server)
* Familiarity with data migration challenges and best practices for ERP implementations
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets to identify discrepancies and ensure data quality
* Experience with SAP systems is highly desirable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
