As a Qualcomm ASIC Engineer, you will define, model, design (digital and/or analog), optimize, verify, validate, implement, and document IP (block/SoC) development for a variety of high performance, high quality, low power world class products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional groups to determine product execution path.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Pay range:
$134,500.00 - $201,500.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to finalize IP level specifications and SoC integration documentation.
- Perform Verilog RTL coding of block level and SoC integration designs.
- Coordinate with other designers and perform SoC level integration of design blocks.
- Qualify RTL code with frontend design tools such as Lint & CDC.
- Perform synthesis and run LEC & static timing closure at macro level.
- Work closely with Design Verification team in helping fix design bugs and in achieving code coverage and functional coverage closure.
Required Qualifications:
- Skilled in Verilog coding.
- Experience with the AMBA bus protocol and DMA integration.
- Familiarity with Matlab, Makefile, C.
- Expertise in logic synthesis.
- Knowledge of computer architecture concepts.
- Knowledge of fixed point arithmetic concepts.
- BS/MS EE with 7+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in successfully owning IP macro deliverables and IP release.
- Experience with implementing DSP blocks such as FIR filters, IIR filters etc. and other hardware accelerators in fixed point arithmetic.
- Experience with integrating on-chip microcontrollers/microprocessors.
- Some knowledge of DSP theory.
