Senior Data Analyst
W2 Contract
Hybrid (3 days on site 2 days remote)
Pittsburgh/Dallas/Cleveland

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), exploratory data analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Gather and translate complex business requirements into technical documentation and logic.
  • Develop lightweight coding solutions in SQL, Python, and/or Spark to support business rules and data transformations.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to prototype and implement data-driven solutions into production environments.
  • Document data flows, data assets, and process/procedural materials for ongoing reference.
  • Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and developers in Agile project teams.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues.
  • Create visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Elastic Stack to communicate insights clearly.
  • Support process automation efforts using tools like Oozie, Slurm, or similar job schedulers.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills with a technical problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and/or Spark; experience with Hadoop, Teradata, and Oracle.
  • Familiarity with unstructured data, data warehouse concepts, and ETL workflows.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and data functions.
  • Experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Elastic Stack).
  • Ability to document and explain data flows and business logic to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology, Jira, Confluence, and Git-based version control.
  • Experience in business analytics, particularly in a financial services or retail lending environment (knowledge of loans, deposits, etc.).
  • Excellent time management, organization, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Iceberg tables and data lake formats.
  • Familiarity with metadata documentation or data catalog tools.
  • Previous exposure to Retail Banking or Lending domains.
  • Knowledge of scheduling/automation tools like Oozie or Slurm.
