Senior Accountant - Marketplace

StubHub is seeking a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to help scale the accounting function for FinTech related activity (eCommerce marketplace activity with significant amounts of data) at our high growth company. The Senior Accountant will work cross-functionally with FinTech, Engineering, and other departments across the company. The ability to manipulate large data sets using tools, such as power query, is a must.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) - New York, NY

What You'll Do

• Prepare month-end journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations related to Revenue, AR, and Payable related accounts
• Collaborate with other departments to support the business and needs of the Finance team, (specifically Engineering and FinTech Depts.)
• Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for statutory audits, quarterly reviews, and annual audits performed by external auditors
• Working with large data sets that require power query and other advanced analytic tool
• Support Ad-hoc projects as necessary

What You've Done

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (accounting, finance, economics etc.)
• 2+ years audit experience with public accounting firm
• Advanced excel skills and ability to manipulate large data sets (Xlookups, Pivot tables, Power Query, etc.)
• Strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements
• Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Exceptional organization and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and keep track of multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Great to have:
  • 2+ years audit experience with public accounting firm or other relevant experience such as Big 4 Experience
  • Mix of Public/Private experience
  • NetSuite Experience
  • Basic proficiency with SQL
  • Experience in the FinTech industry and working with Payment Service Providers (PSPs)

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.

$80,000-$115,000 USD
