We're looking for a highly skilled and independent RF Wireless Connectivity Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on ChromeOS and Android on Chromebooks. You'll ensure the robust performance of critical wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in the RF field, with a particular focus on Wi-Fi, Cellular, and Bluetooth, along with strong capabilities in callbox and conductive test setups. This role requires a self-driven individual who can consistently deliver results with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive RF testing for Wi-Fi, Cellular, and Bluetooth technologies on ChromeOS and Android devices (Chromebooks).
Set up and operate callbox testing environments to simulate various network conditions relevant to cellular and Wi-Fi performance.
Perform intricate conductive tests to validate wireless performance and reliability on Chromebook hardware.
Analyze test data, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams for root cause analysis and resolution.
Contribute to the development and improvement of test methodologies and setups specific to ChromeOS and Android wireless stacks.
Work independently to manage assigned tasks and drive testing initiatives to completion.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven strong experience in the RF field.
Specific expertise in testing Wi-Fi, Cellular, and Bluetooth technologies on mobile or laptop platforms.
Demonstrated experience with callbox testing tools and methodologies.
Hands-on experience with conductive test setups.
Experience with ChromeOS and/or Android platforms.
Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with automated test frameworks for wireless connectivity.
scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation.
Familiarity with network debugging tools and log analysis on ChromeOS/Android.
