Description

The Cyber Security Architect is responsible for leading security strategy, ensuring effective implementation of cybersecurity infrastructure and policies. This role integrates security requirements into enterprise systems, mitigates organizational risks, and oversees third-party risk management. The scope includes on-premises and cloud environments, covering governance, technical implementation, and security program performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and enforce security across systems, networks, and applications.
  • Ensure integration of security into IT systems and processes.
  • Identify risks, conduct security reviews, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee third-party risk management and periodic vendor evaluations.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address security gaps and implement effective controls.
  • Monitor and adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats.
  • Conduct audits and provide recommendations for constant program improvement.
  • Document and communicate security strategies, policies, and findings.


Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, controls, and frameworks.
  • Experience with networking, system configurations, and security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, PCI), secure coding, and application security.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC (preferred).
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in cybersecurity architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (required); advanced degree (preferred).
  • Experience engaging with executive and leadership teams.
