TOP REQUIRED SKILLS

2) Strong background with QA/QC and managing projects in a Data Center or Critical Facilities environment
3) Prior large-scale project experience with MEP integration
Software experience includes Primavera 6, MS Office, MS Project
TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Connectivity Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering & Construction (DEC) team. This role is pivotal in driving the planning, execution, and quality assurance of connectivity infrastructure across our global data center projects. You'll lead technical coordination, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless delivery of structured cabling and network systems.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Control: Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and milestones from initiation to closeout.
Technical Leadership: Serve as the field lead for design, installation, and product evaluation aligned with standards.
Vendor Management: Oversee all connectivity activities on-site, ensuring progress aligns with schedule expectations and quality benchmarks.
Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections to validate installations, test reports, and compliance with local codes and standards.
Workflow & Risk Management: Coordinate with installation partners, manage change orders, and escalate issues effectively.
Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with construction, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure smooth material flow and project execution.
Safety Leadership: Promote a safety-first culture and ensure vendor compliance with EHS practices and local regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in project management
Proven ability to guide stakeholders and solve construction-related challenges
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in data center development or construction management
Familiarity with Primavera 6
Expertise in IT/IP network deployment in mission-critical environments
Hands-on experience with structured cabling, fiber optic testing, and OSP deployments
Strong background in QA/QC processes and progressive inspections
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
