Job Details

Job Summary
Provide project-based technical expertise for VoIP migration, integration, and transition activities. The role focuses on migration and integration, not ongoing operations, and requires collaboration across multiple City departments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support migration from Avaya PBX to Microsoft Teams, Cisco VoIP, and Webex Calling.
  • Design, configure, and validate VoIP services, including routing, voicemail, caller ID, and endpoints.
  • Support Webex Contact Center and integrations with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Calabrio, and Webex AI Agent.
  • Perform site walkthroughs, inventory phones, and support cutover planning and execution.
  • Validate VoIP readiness, network dependencies, and desktop configurations.
  • Provide cutover and post-cutover troubleshooting support.
  • Develop documentation and deliver training to City staff.
  • Support departmental assessments and best-fit VoIP solution selection.
Required Experience
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco telephony and Microsoft Teams in migration projects.
  • Experience with large-scale VoIP or PBX migration and implementation.
  • Experience supporting Webex Contact Center in public-sector or large enterprise environments.
  • Experience migrating from Avaya to modern VoIP platforms.
Required Qualifications
  • Five (5)+ years supporting Microsoft Teams and Cisco Unified Communications.
  • Strong knowledge of Teams, CUCM, and Avaya Communication Manager.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Skill Set
  • VoIP, SIP, and enterprise telephony.
  • Networking fundamentals, QoS, and security.
  • Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 integration.
  • Cisco and Avaya voice platforms.
Preferred Certifications
  • Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Collaboration Specialist
  • AudioCodes Certified Professional (ACP)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • ITIL Foundation
