Description
We are looking for a skilled Low Voltage Systems Technician to join our team in Dayton, New Jersey. This role involves installing, programming, and maintaining advanced low voltage systems and home automation solutions for residential and small commercial projects. Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as structured wiring, audio/video setups, security systems, and home automation technologies.
Program and integrate home automation platforms, including Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, or similar systems.
Perform wiring tasks, including running cables, terminating connections, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
Set up and optimize Wi-Fi networks using equipment such as Ubiquiti to achieve seamless connectivity.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system installations and integrations.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure proper system design and implementation.
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to specific needs.
Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in confined spaces or at heights.
Travel to job sites as needed to complete installations and service calls.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in installing and maintaining low voltage systems and home automation technologies.
Familiarity with home automation platforms such as Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, or comparable systems; Control4 certification is highly desirable.
Strong technical skills in wiring, programming, and troubleshooting low voltage systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, such as attics or crawlspaces.
Comfortable working at heights and using appropriate safety equipment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting; occasional travel to job sites required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines and demands.
