Role: Appian Product Manager

Location: USA Remote

Contract to hire 6 months of contract then conversion

What You'll do:

1. Own and communicate Appian solution capabilities to a wide variety of business and technical audiences to illustrate the value of the solution.
2. Work with business leaders to understand priorities and identify opportunities for Appian to deliver value within the business roadmap.
3. Coordinate proactively across partner functions and structure shared roadmaps for best outcomes.
4. Create a strategy to balance multiple priorities and use cases across multiple business lines.
5. Oversee the development of user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
6. Build relationships with key business stakeholders, keeping them apprised of important features, critical scope changes, planned investments.
7. Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of a multi-team, short-term and long-term feature backlogs aligned to business roadmaps.
8. Work with business SMEs, engineers and designers from ideation, technical design, and development to the testing, production, and/or release of the solutions.
9. Lead team to drive progress against goals and milestones, and resolve challenges and blockers, while maintaining team health.
10. Support implementation teams consisting of multiple development pods.
11. Create and document implementation best practices as well as knowledge base articles for internal enablement.

Required Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience with Appian solutions
2. Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or related area
3. Expert experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology
4. Strong technical design and implementation and problem-solving skills
5. Strong experience with building intuitive and attractive Appian user interfaces and designs
6. Experience working with a cross-functional product team on a significant product area: Crafting product vision and strategy, defining product requirements, coordinating resources from other groups (technology, marketing, legal, etc.), and driving the team to achieve key milestones and goals
7. Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, both verbally and written; active listening skills to gather key information from internal and external partners; analytical and strategic foresight
