Position: Engineering Project Manager

Location: Remote - Must live in PST Time Zone

Duration: 12+ month renewable contract

Type: W2 contract, paid hourly. No C2C, 1099, or third-party submissions will be accepted. Only direct W-2 candidates will be considered.

Pay Rate Range: W2 $45-55/hr

Job Description:

The [client] Common Platform Services team is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive cross-functional and cloud backend engineering projects. Join the team where we make all the magic happen!

As a Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with Engineering Project Managers, Engineering, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to guide a variety of programs and projects. Our goal is to deliver high-quality outcomes through data-driven improvement initiatives-on time and with exceptional results. Lead and complete large-scale migration and cloud projects!

What You'll Do

• Manage technical and strategic cross-functional projects
• Build and drive project plans with well-managed dependencies and internal stakeholder alignment
• Execute and supervise project deliverables, milestones, action items, technical dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
• Work with engineering and program leaders to define priorities
• Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to understand and deliver on business goals
• Prepare project status reports and executive briefings for various stakeholder groups
• Plan, manage, and monitor high-level project communications
• Adhere to metrics and governance processes and drive process improvements

Basic Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Project Manager
• Ability to translate team needs (technical or otherwise) into actionable projects
• Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion
• Successful track record of timely project delivery
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and timelines
• Comfort with rapid changes and navigating ambiguous situations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Self-starting, self-motivated, and self-directed
• Openness to new ideas and innovation
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment
• Comfortable facilitating meetings and speaking in front of groups
• Experience with multi-national program teams
• Strong business relationship development skills
• Proficiency in Project Communication Management
• Basic working knowledge of agile principles and ability to work in an agile software environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in building complex program plans focused on execution, gap analysis, and risk mitigation
• Ability to navigate cross-functional teams and resolve priority and dependency concerns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project planning tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
• 5+ years of experience in SaaS platform, migration, and cloud projects
• 4+ years of experience in operational efficiency programs
• Agile certifications or training (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM ), Six Sigma, or PMP)
