Carrier Commercial Service has an opening for an experienced Controls Project Engineer for our Denver, CO location. The Controls Project Engineer is responsible for the successful overall software design of projects, database creation, as well the implementation of the controls design and standards used in the programming and documentation of controls projects.

About this role
Carrier Commercial Service has an opening for an experienced Controls Project Engineer for our Denver, CO location. The Controls Project Engineer is responsible for the successful overall software design of projects, database creation, as well the implementation of the controls design and standards used in the programming and documentation of controls projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Job requires fieldwork with controllers and associated components
- Highly qualified controls technicians preferred
- Working knowledge with BAS systems, Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus
- Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelines
- Partner with sales function to set parameters for equipment needs and project timeline
- Create submittals, read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls and shop drawings
- Document and track project completion with as-builts and final program notation with all field changes
- Assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.
- Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projects
- Test project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and performed accordingly to industry standards
- Inspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkouts
- Conduct graphics engineering functions which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documents
- Submit material orders for project-required required materials to the purchasing group.
- Assist in the development of functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements to commission the system or work with the Commissioning Agent

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of Bluebeam, Carrier i-Vu, Tridium or BACnet systems
- 1+ years' experience utilizing Microsoft Suite
- 2+ years' experience in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control
- 3+ years' experience in HVAC, Controls or Building Automation
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Engineering degree
- Knowledge of computers and setup procedures
- Knowledge of computer networking systems
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
