Enterprise Information Architect
Location: Remote

Client: State of VA

100% Remote. Must adhere to EST Hours during the week.

MUST pick up equipment IN PERSON if selected


The EIA will engage in a broad range of tasks related to design solutions for integrating on-premises systems with cloud-based systems to ensure seamless data flow across the Enterprise.

Design data models (logical and physical) that support business intelligence, analytics,
and transactional processes. This position requires technical proficiency in cloud initiatives, adherence to software & data engineering best practices, leading a team of data analysts & data solution architects, and alignment with the agency s technical and
information architecture direction. Additionally, the role involves training teams on leveraging the possibilities of business process reengineering, and cloud technologies to ensure successful adoption and implementation.

The key duties associated with this role including:
Design a comprehensive architecture for managing, storing, and retrieving data across various systems, ensuring consistency,scalability, and security.
Define and maintain up-to-date architecture diagrams, data models,and process flow documentation for the enterprise. Enforce data governance policies, data models, data quality standards, and metadata management processes.
Design solutions for integrating on-premises systems with cloud-based systems to ensure seamless data flow across theenterprise. Utilize AWS services like S3, Redshift, RDS, and others to design robust, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions.
Design data models (logical and physical) that support businessintelligence, analytics, and transactional processes.
Map out existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, redundancies,and bottlenecks in business processes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline, automate, and redesign processes forgreater efficiency, business architecture with strategic goals, and
often through the integration of modern technology.
Ensure that information architecture aligns with the company s business objectives, fostering process improvements and organizationalagility.
Facilitate organizational change through effective communication,training, and support to ensure a smooth transition to new processes.
Leverage AWS technologies to design and implement AWS cloudsolutions that enable data storage, processing, and analytics
Collaborate with business leaders, process owners, and technicalteams to align data and business architecture with strategic goals.
Communicate the vision for enterprise information architecture,ensuring all stakeholders (including C-level executives) understand the importance of information governance and cloud transformation and Conduct workshops and provide training to employees to ensure adoption of new business processes, systems, and tools.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes, IT infrastructure, and information systems to drive ongoing improvements.
Provide team and technical leadership by mentor and guide teams to junior/data architects, developers, and engineers working on cloud, data, and process engineering projects.
Lead the creation of PoCs for new technology integrations or process improvements, evaluating the potential impact on the organization.
Prepare reports to ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Identify risks related to information architecture, business processes, and cloud solutions, and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience and ability to address the key duties associated with the job.
Experience liaising with business for assessing business processes /
architecture and reimagining and modeling it.
Experience defining and Implement metrics to track the effectiveness
of redesigned processes and information systems.
Extensive Data and /or Business Architecture experience preparing business capability and data models. Experience working in healthcare domain preferably behavioral health
Experience designing and implementing data lake and data warehouse
data platforms
Experience working on cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift
Experience leading team of business analysts and data architects for
implementing reporting and analytics data systems
Prior experience designing MPI (Master Patient Index) or similar Identity management solution
Prior experience designing AWS Data Lake management in the health care like DBHDS.
Expert in ensuring the information systems is well-organized, scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization's business objectives.
Expert in leveraging AWS services to facilitate cloud transformation, while a focus on BPR drives efficiency and innovation throughout the organization.
Additional Considerations:
Preferred AWS Solution Architect, Snowflake certifications, and TOGAF certified Architect.
