Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems and products by conducting research, applying knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
  • Develop mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Ensure project completion by conducting tests; modifying designs as necessary.
  • Provide engineering support by responding to requests for mechanical designs; answering inquiries; training employees.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Use Solidworks to create detailed designs and models, and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.
  • Estimate budget and scope of project.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
  • Experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
  • An analytical mind with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application.
  • Proven experience in product development and design.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team and to lead projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to spot potential problems before they occur.
  • A creative and innovative approach to engineering, with a constant eye for improvement.
