Job Details

Title: Antivirus Admin (Only W2 Candidates)

Location: Remote but preference is NC, SC, Chicago, Quincy Mass, Carlisle PA or Greenville SC

Type: Contract

Description:

The Antivirus Administrator role is to centrally govern and oversee a diverse enterprise environment s antivirus solutions to maintain current, operational saturation and stability of all antivirus agents across all in scope systems of client.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

  • Background in IT infrastructure: Windows/Linux/MAC operating systems, hosting platforms such as VMware, and security principles.
  • Antivirus and Endpoint Security Software: Hands-on experience with enterprise antivirus solutions (ie. SentinelOne; MS Defender; CrowdStrike etc) ; Including installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Security Auditing and Compliance: Familiarity with security standards, best practices, CVSS, and the ability to assist in security PCI; HIPPA audits to ensure compliance.
  • Vulnerability Management: Understanding how to identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
  • Measures performance: Ensure the A/V governance program is established through industries best practices and seeks ways to gain efficiencies to exceed those standards.

Experience and Education:

  • IT or Cybersecurity Experience: 2-5 years Prior experience in IT or cybersecurity roles, such as internships, help desk support, or network administration in diverse enterprise environment.
  • A.A.S or Relevant Certifications (helpful but not required): Industry-recognized certifications like CompTIA Security+, or CISSP, to demonstrate proficiency and commitment to the field.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate technical information to global vendor partners and stakeholders in a professional, and pleasantly persistent manner that fosters collaboration and win/win solutions.
  • Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze security threats, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurately configuring antivirus and identifying potential performance issues.
  • Continuous Learning: The cybersecurity landscape is constantly evolving, so a commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with new threats and technologies is essential.
