Civil Designer - 2 postions available, mid and senior level


Location: Kansas City, MO


Schedule: Full-time, 9/80, in-office only

Job Description:


Our client needs a Civil Designer for civil aviation and federal projects. Work includes ramps, runways, roadways, airport layouts, parking, utilities, and related design. Minimal fieldwork (occasional measurements/photos). Airfield knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare civil design drawings using Civil 3D for site design, storm drainage, utilities, erosion control, and traffic control.

  • Support projects focused on airports and federal infrastructure.

  • Analyze maps, reports, and topographical data.

  • Ensure compliance with codes, specs, budgets, and schedules.

  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve design issues.

  • Maintain organized project documentation.


Requirements:


  • Proficient in Civil 3D (required).

  • Civil design experience; aviation or federal project experience preferred.

  • Degree not required with strong experience.

  • Local candidates only; no remote or per diem.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
