RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Blockchain Security Architect (Senior Blockchain Developer- Security focus) to join their team in Orlando, FL. The Manager is looking for someone who is hands-on, as this position will be responsible for designing the CRYO Wall runtime environment and embedding a prevention-first security model into both blockchain infrastructure and wallet layers. This role requires deep expertise in blockchain technologies, security architecture, and runtime environment design to ensure robust protection against emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and architect the CRYO WaLL runtime environment, ensuring secure and reliable execution of blockchain and wallet operations
* Integrate a prevention-first security model across blockchain protocols and wallet layers to proactively mitigate security risks
* Collaborate with blockchain developers, cryptographers, and security teams to embed security controls from design through deployment
* Evaluate existing blockchain and wallet security frameworks and recommend enhancements to improve resilience and trustworthiness
* Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews for blockchain runtime components
* Stay abreast of emerging blockchain security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and industry best practices to inform architecture decisions
* Develop security design documentation, architecture diagrams, and guidelines to support secure development and operational practices
* Support incident response and forensic analysis related to blockchain and wallet security incidents
* Mentor and guide engineering teams on secure coding practices and security architecture principles within blockchain contexts
REQUIREMENTS:
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, Certified Blockchain Security Professional) are a plus
* 7+ years of experience in security architecture or cybersecurity roles, including 3-5 years in blockchain security, runtime environment design, or related domains
* Proven experience designing secure blockchain runtime environments or similar distributed systems
* Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, cryptographic primitives, smart contracts, and wallet security models
* Expertise in security architecture frameworks, threat modeling, and prevention-first security strategies
* Familiarity with runtime environment design, isolation mechanisms, and secure execution technologies
* Hands-on experience with blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, or similar
* Solid knowledge of common attack vectors in blockchain systems and mitigation techniques
* Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
* Background in wallet development and integration with blockchain ecosystems
* Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to blockchain security
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
