Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) administration involves managing a cluster of multiple servers that share a single database, providing high availability, scalability, and load balancing.
- RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration involves the installation, configuration, and maintenance of RHEL systems using command-line tools and enterprise-level applications. Key tasks include user and group management, storage and file system management, network configuration, and remote system management via SSH. Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) requires a shared storage solution that all nodes can access supported by the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
- The Oracle Database Administrator will also be responsible for the Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) administration, performance tuning, Database High Availability design and implementation, and PLSQL/Perl/shell programming.
- The Oracle Database Administrator will also be responsible for the RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration, performance tuning, High Availability design and implementation, and PLSQL/Perl/shell programming.
- The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for tasks such as development of best practices, repeatable procedures, as well as day-to-day database activities.
