  • You will use diagnostic equipment and tools to analyze and solve problems across a wide range of requirements while supporting the design and leadership team.
  • You will manage and execute tasks in a time-contained environment by prototyping and evaluating new designs and materials/concepts, provide advice on specific technical aspects of the systems, and use innovative thinking to solve complex problems.
  • You will understand the interactions of electrical components within a system, demonstrating the ability to use circuit design and simulation tools to develop and evaluate Electrical Engineering solutions.
  • You will apply best practices to the design, development, and the production of printed circuit boards, RF receivers and antennas, power conversion systems, and power generation/electro-mechanical interfaces on host platform systems.
  • You will conduct research, development, test, and integration of custom embedded systems and special communications capabilities.
  • You will contribute to the development of rapid engineering solutions to emergent non-conventional threats, specializing in turning high level requirements into engineering designs that integrate microelectronics with novel fabrication techniques.
  • You will design and develop electrical circuits, RF receivers, and miniature antenna designs with minimal oversight and guidance, perform analog/digital circuit design, embedded microcontroller design, and compact antenna design and integration.
  • You will perform modeling of circuits, schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit assembly / fabrication techniques.
  • You will support integration and testing of developed products to ensure reliable functionality.
  • You will work with Project Lead(s) to analyze and refine requirements, perform alternative solutions by research and investigation, and identify technical risks.
  • You will develop prototypes (in concert with technicians, as necessary) to prove out prototype designs; utilize established and creative/novel rapid prototyping techniques and equipment.
  • You will coordinate with mechanical engineers regarding the integration of designs into customized mechanical packages.
  • You will develop documentation of design solutions and adhere to established configuration management processes.
  • You will evaluate processes and procedures to identify efficiencies and enhance solutions by increasing quality, reducing cost, and/or increasing technical performance.
  • You will provide peer review of colleague designs.
