Role: Cybersecurity Specialist with expertise in Data Loss Prevention

-- Onsite in Montreal, QC hybrid twice per week is the #1 option. Local to Toronto is #2. The client is open to 100% remote candidates if they are a perfect fit.

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist with expertise in Data Loss Prevention who will report to the Director of Info Sec - Insider threat, and who'll be tasked with developing and evolving the DLP capability. As part of your role, you'll be significantly contributing to the organization's security and data protection.
Responsibilities:
- Configuration and Management: Configures DLP policies, rules, and exceptions based on data classification guidelines and regulatory requirements, ensuring controls for data in motion, in use, and at rest.
- Integration: Develop and Integrates the DLP solution with existing security systems (firewalls, secure web gateways, etc.) for comprehensive monitoring and detection
- Monitoring and Auditing: Monitors DLP dashboards, alerts, and reports to identify potential data leakage incidents and policy violations, conducting regular audits to validate policy effectiveness
- Incident Response: Collaborates with other stakeholders (legal, HR, etc.) on incident response and policy enforcement
- Policy Refinement: Monitors incidents, creates guidelines for policy adjustments, and refines the policy over time to ensure continuous improvement
- Policy Maintenance: Collaborates with the Governance and Risk team to develop and refine DLP policies and procedures
- Metrics: Develops support procedures and performance metrics reports
- Raise awareness: Communicate security risks with business partners and tech teams to ensure systems are configured to leverage the DLP solution to protect confidential data
- Collaborate: Work with dev-ops/system/network/security administrators, and others to ensure secure design, development, and implementation of solutions for the DLP applications
