Job Details

Leidos is looking for a DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. As a DevOps Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. This role requires supporting an on-call rotation to ensure mission critical services remain operational 24/7/365. Rotation is typically to be on-call 1 full calendar week every 2 months.

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

BA/BS Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree

Expert in Linux operating system usage

Expert in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck

Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices

Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as J-unit

Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo

Experience scripting and using AWS services including Cloudformation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc

Experience with containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS, etc.)

Experience with Nexus administration

Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Well versed with using version control systems

Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems

Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Agile development methods

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployment, and scaling in a production environment

Proficiency in building, managing, and optimizing containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines, along with knowledge of container registries and security best practices

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Elastic tools

Experience working in the Sponsor's cloud environments

Experience with Nexus administration and maintenance

Experience with Sponsor's release management tools and processes

AWS certification

Container-related certification

Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification, demonstrating expertise in designing, building and running applications on Kubernetes
