Anaplan Model builder

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Anaplan Architect to join our global Anaplan Center of Excellence team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Anaplan models that support strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives across our global Property & Casualty insurance business. You will partner closely with finance, actuarial, and IT stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide solutions that enhance decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, build, and enhancement of complex Anaplan models aligned to FP&A use cases such as annual planning, quarterly forecasting, scenario modeling, and expense allocations.
• Serve as the Anaplan SME and trusted advisor to FP&A leadership; translate business needs into scalable, maintainable Anaplan architecture.
• Manage full model lifecycle: requirements gathering, architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Partner with finance and actuarial teams to align models with P&C-specific metrics such as loss ratios, combined ratios, underwriting income, and reinsurance structures.
• Integrate Anaplan with upstream and downstream systems including Workday Financials, data warehouses, and BI tools (Power BI)
• Develop and maintain user roles, security settings, data imports/exports, dashboards, and workflows to support global user access.
• Provide ongoing support and training to model users; ensure models are user-friendly and aligned with business processes.
• Stay current on Anaplan best practices, updates, and Connected Planning strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field. MBA or CPA a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial systems, or corporate planning within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience building and managing complex Anaplan models in a lead or senior role.
• Certified Anaplan Model Builder; Anaplan Solution Architect certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance financials, including statutory and GAAP reporting, reinsurance, and actuarial drivers.
• Experience with large-scale data integrations and a solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
