The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations on the 3nd Shift. In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout either the fabrication or assembly processes on the AMPV Value Stream.

This position supports the 3rd Shift, 10 PM to 7:30 AM, on a 9/80 schedule.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with at least two (2) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent;
  • Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles;
  • Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards;
  • Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc);
  • Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications;
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to support 3rd Shift.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • ASQ certification;
  • Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD;
  • Formal training in root cause analysis;
  • Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment;
  • Experience with TipQA software.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $68700 - $116800

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
