About this Position

Join our award-winning in-house creative department as a Web Designer/Developer, where you will collaborate with a talented team of over 40 writers, graphic designers, web developers, producers, and video editors. This is a unique opportunity to work within a cutting-edge creative environment, where you'll design and maintain visually compelling, user-friendly websites that authentically represent the brand and core values of the company.

Salary: $100K

Hybrid Role: Monday's in Office Day

Responsibilities & Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Demonstrate a strong design sense with an eye for detail, ensuring that all web projects maintain high standards of brand consistency, quality, usability, and visual appeal.
  • Pay careful attention to consistency in typography, layout, and branding across all digital platforms.
  • Continuously assess and improve web interfaces to enhance the user experience while maintaining optimal functionality.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best development practices
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS/LESS/SASS practices
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application/web site for maximum speed and scalability
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  • Collaborate with creative director to match visual design intent and maintain Primerica's brand identity

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 2-3 years' experience is required
  • Excellent graphic design skills including typography is required
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required
  • Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5, CSS is required
  • Proficiency in server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX
  • Good understanding of SEO principles
  • Good understanding of web site ADA compliance
  • Mobile application development is a plus
  • Superior organization skills with detailed understanding of file formats, encoding/exporting and archive standard practices
  • Ability to juggle several projects at a time
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight daily deliverable deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
