Job Title: Senior Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM Technical Specialist

Location: Primarily remote; consultant may be requested onsite at the Lincoln Plaza campus, Sacramento, CA (Hybrid model). So secure and share consultant submission with hybrid working RTR.

Project Overview: The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) ESDD is engaging in services to provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) support services for Oracle PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management FSCM Support (FSCM). The consultant will assume the duties and responsibilities of a senior IT developer and subject matter expert (SME) for our legacy Oracle PeopleSoft FSCM application. They will serve as a technical SME to assist the ERPS team with an FSCM on-premises upgrade, as well as cross- functional activities within the data center and various maintenance and operations tasks, including application validation, infrastructure administration, disaster recovery, process improvements/automation, and research into emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical leader and SME for the FSCM upgrade project.
  • Guide, mentor, and collaborate with CalPERS' state IT teams and implementation partners.
  • Analyze the current PeopleSoft FSCM environment; define upgrade strategy and technical approaches.
  • Design, develop, and deploy features, enhancements, and fixes in both test and production environments.
  • Perform data cleanup, validate deployments, and support QA efforts.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to internal staff on development and incident resolution.
  • Provide post-migration troubleshooting and stabilization support.
  • Ensure compliance with CalPERS IT policies, security standards, and documentation best practices.
  • Submit weekly written status reports to the contract manager.

Minimum Qualifications (Evaluation Criteria):

  • 15+ years of experience as an Oracle PeopleSoft Developer providing legacy support.
  • Demonstrated experience in Oracle Fusion implementations, migrations, and data cleanup.
  • 10+ years of experience in:
  • Oracle PeopleSoft HCM data archiving strategy and execution
  • Migrating/consolidating data to cloud-based platforms
  • Supporting Oracle Cloud applications and SaaS
  • Supporting Oracle databases and related infrastructure

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience with CalPERS or other public sector ERP projects
  • Strong experience in cross-functional coordination and application validation
  • Proven ability to conduct technical training and documentation
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery, infrastructure administration, and emerging technologies
