What You Will Do :
  • Provide operating system level vulnerability management and coordination, including waiver documentation and approvals.
  • Manage all aspects of the Windows 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 virtual and physical servers including; upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, resolving, designing, communicating, analyzing system logs, managing network, volume, and storage configurations, hardening systems to DISA STIG regulatory standard, configuration management, and system monitoring.
  • Perform rotational on-call support and/or non-standard working hours in a 24x7/365 operational environment.
  • Support workloads on premise and in AWS, Azure, OCI, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Perform patch/fix research and software upgrades through service packs or other software bundling methodologies following governmental standards and procedures.
  • Analyze system logs and identify and remediate issues with systems.
  • Participates in Post-Incident Reviews to document lessons learned to create/update automation/tooling.
  • Create, maintain, and execute scripts to perform routine maintenance.
  • Utilize automation tools and frameworks following organizational standards.
  • Develop solutions leading to improvements.
  • Utilize methods for identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support configuration management via Ansible and GitLab; preferably to the DISA STIG standard.
  • Supports server automation using Ansible/Tower, GitLab, etc.
  • Document and perform changes and resolve incidents and problems using client's Configuration Management Tools and Systems.
  • Provide knowledge transfer documentation to the client as required.


What You Will Need :
  • BA/BS Degree. In lieu of degree Four (4) years additional experience will be needed.
  • Minimum Two (2) years of experience as a Windows System Administrator.
  • Past vulnerability management experience.
  • Strong Windows system administration background.
  • Must be US Citizen and be able to pass government background check.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
  • Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.


What Would Be Nice To Have :
  • Experience working in Agile environment using Confluence and Jira for engineering tasks.
  • An automation first mindset.


The annual salary range for this position is $57,000.00-$85,400.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
