RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Irving, TX.
Project/Role Overview:
* The role involves contributing to a digital cloud migration project:
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI
* Deploying APIs into AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters
* Ensuring proper documentation of workflows and procedures
Top Responsibilities of Role:
* Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI
* Deploy and manage APIs in AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth cloud migration processes
* Write and maintain detailed documentation for workflows, procedures, and best practices
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and Kubernetes infrastructure
* Integrate Istio for service mesh and traffic management in Kubernetes environments
* Implement and manage progressive delivery strategies using Argo Rollouts for canary and blue-green deployments
* Ensure security and compliance in the CI/CD and deployment processes
* Monitor and maintain system health using logging and monitoring tools
* Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using shell scripting, Python, or Golang
* Deploy and manage Kubernetes applications using Helm charts for consistent and repeatable deployments
* Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and technologies to improve workflows
REQUIREMENTS:
Technologies (5+ years of experience):
* Git and GitLab
* Jenkins
* Docker
* Kubernetes
* Istio
* Argo CD
* Shell/PowerShell scripting
* Python or Golang
Skills/attributes are preferred:
* Experience with Redis for caching and data storage
* Proficiency with Ansible for configuration management and automation
* Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC)
* Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging frameworks
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
