Job Details
Job: Batch Operations Lead
Location: Durham, NC ( Hybrid)
Client requires the services of a Batch Lead to act as the primary point of contact with project staff and clients to support the batch operations of assigned projects by analyzing production work flows, making recommendations to improve job schedule performance, providing rapid support during outages, and providing workload automation forecasts. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing processes, procedures, work flows and timelines for Batch Operations unit functions, and technical development of solutions using SOS Job Scheduler.
Skills:
Experience providing production support for batch operations for a large IT project.
- Experience running/creating shell scripts on a UNIX environment; and reviewing log files on a UNIX environment.
- Experience with Java and Eclipse.
- Experience with job scheduling software, preferably SOS Job Scheduler.
- Good communication skills both oral and written and ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Experience in a leadership role for batch operations support.
