RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Program Manager - Quantum in Redmond, WA.
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager with strong hardware knowledge and system-level program management expertise. This individual will bridge multiple functional teams, ensuring integration across complex hardware and software systems, while also coordinating efforts with third-party companies (such as photonics vendors). The TPM will need to balance high-level strategy with hands-on technical fluency, supporting teams ranging from application engineering to quantum hardware and refrigeration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own system-level program management across multiple teams (hardware, application, software, BSL, and external partners)
* Develop and manage requirement specifications for DARPA reporting and internal alignment
* Drive progress in lower-layer knowledge areas, particularly hardware integration and testing
* Support high-level test protocol development for quantum integration points
* Coordinate with third-party companies (e.g., photonics) to align deliverables with Client and DARPA expectations
* Partner with specialized teams (e.g., dilution refrigeration, RF measurement, fabrication/packaging) to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
* Write and maintain technical documentation (Wiki pages, specifications, LaTeX reports)
* Work across functional boundaries to identify risks, troubleshoot underperforming areas, and enable schedule alignment
* Contribute to DARPA-facing deliverables with system-level insights across internal and partner teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong background in hardware program management with broad system-level understanding
* Experience with RF measurements (e.g., S11/S12, signal-to-noise ratios) or comparable test/measurement workflows
* Familiarity with fabrication processes, async development flow, and test integration
* Proficiency with Python (not heavy coding; ability to read/modify small scripts as needed)
* Experience with ADO (Azure DevOps) and MS Project for project tracking
* Strong documentation skills, including Wiki writing and LaTeX for technical reports
* Excellent stakeholder management, with experience working across multiple technical domains and external vendors
* Ability to operate in a startup-like environment, balancing ambiguity, competing priorities, and hands-on execution
Nice to Have:
* Quantum computing knowledge (not required but beneficial)
* Previous experience working in DARPA or other government contract environments
* Prior exposure to photonics, quantum refrigeration systems, or advanced hardware integration
* Experience in high-tech companies managing full-stack technical programs

Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
