Description
This position will be 3 days minimum in the office.
Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years
Wireless Network Transport Engineer that will focus on the configuration and documentation of Ethernet backhaul routers and switches for wireless fronthaul and backhaul, and relevant IP information to support the configuration of RAN equipment on those routers. Experience with Nokia routers is preferred.
Must have:
-Previous experience as a Transport or WAN network engineer
-Advanced knowledge of routing and switching hardware/software.
-Understanding of 5G Virtualized RAN deployments
-Strong IP Knowledge, subnetting, routing protocol, MPLS, includes CLI interface hands-on
Even better if you have:
-Any of these certifications:
-Nokia Certifications (NRS, SRA, MRP), CISCO Certifications (CCNA, CCIP, CCIE)
-Experience working with DWDM optical systems including Ciena 6500 and Fujitsu 9500
-Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent military experience
-Wireless voice and data service experience including: CDMA & LTE
-Transport test equipment experience including JDSU & EXPO spectrum analyzers and path analyzers (OTDR)
-Experience with Nokia products such as: IXR-E. 7705, 7750-SR1, 7750-A8, 7750-SR7, 7750 SR12
-Knowledge of Nokia router translations tools (e.g., Service Portal)
-Previous experience using Granite/XNG, CND, or other circuit/path inventory system
