GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Kratos' computer systems. This position will manage the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and some networking components to maintain optimal performance and security. The role involves monitoring system activity, implementing upgrades, vulnerability management, and providing technical support to users. Collaboration with other IT staff and departments is essential to address technical issues and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.

The role involves monitoring system activity, implementing upgrades, vulnerability management, and providing technical support to users. Collaboration with other IT staff and departments is essential to address technical issues and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work support tickets and support IT projects for local office
- Manage new user setups
- Create/disable user accounts
- Create/modify/delete security groups
- Add/remove users to/from security groups
- Create/modify system folder structure
- Perform hardware/software installations and upgrades
- Mitigate vulnerabilities from weekly reportEnsure backup operations complete successfully
- Report violations of corporate policies
- Document processes for creation of departmental SOPs
- Support manager with network & system configurations, functionality, and securityGet training (as needed) to support essential job functions
- Notify manager of planned configuration changes to systems
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Experience and Skills
Required Skills and Experience
- ship
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or 5 years of experience without a degree
- Secret security clearance desired, TS preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Exceptional time management and flexibility
- Organized self-starter with minimal oversight
- Capability to work closely with multiple teams to accomplish tasks
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Dedicated to producing excellent solutions consistently
- Linux administration experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In performing the work for this position, the employee must be able to:
- Perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time
- Sit for extended periods of time without leaving the work area
- Climb ladders and stairs in performing the work (rare)
- Walk for reasonable distances while performing work
