Job Title: QA Automation Lead

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

Employment: W2 Only (NO C2C)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead with expertise to drive our test automation strategy and ensure software quality across web, mobile, and API platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA automation engineers and SDETs
  • Design and implement robust test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Develop automated tests for UI (Selenium, Playwright), API (RestAssured, Postman), and mobile (Appium)
  • Write clean, maintainable code in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Conduct performance testing using JMeter or similar tools
  • Implement shift-left testing strategies and quality gates
  • Define and track QA metrics (test coverage, defect density, automation ROI)
  • Collaborate with developers to improve testability of applications
  • Troubleshoot complex test automation issues
  • Stay updated with emerging test automation tools and trends

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 14+ years in test automation with experience in leadership roles
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Expertise in Selenium, Playwright, or similar UI test frameworks
  • Experience with API testing tools (RestAssured, Postman)
  • Knowledge of mobile test automation (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Experience with performance and load testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with AI/ML testing tools
  • Knowledge of security testing
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • ISTQB or similar certification
