What We Do
Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team consists of many small agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also, responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.

What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex on-prem network communications systems, including switches, routers, and firewalls. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in the network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, and a passion for designing and planning network communications systems, providing detailed specifications and schematics for the network architecture. Your work will involve working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Please Note:
This position is located at Schriever, Space Force Base 10 miles east of Colorado Springs, CO and is 100% onsite.
This position may involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.

Basic Qualifications

Active Final SECRET clearance required prior to starting, with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI
Ability to obtain DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent) with Continuing Education (CE) 3 months after starting
Proven experience with the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls
Working knowledge of key networking concepts, including spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols, first hop redundancy protocols, and IP subnetting.

Desired skills

Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance preferred
Cisco NexCatalyst switches and firewalls, Juniper routers, switches and firewalls, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls.
Experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and wireshark.
Familiarity with SIPRNet, MDACNet, or other DOD networks.
Additional certifications such as COMPTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, and Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
Understanding of the project lifecycle, related processes, and traditional systems engineering skills.
Experience in reviewing work products produced by a team of engineers for quality, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and policies.
Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, excellent customer interface skills, be a quick learner, and be able to multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment while maintaining a can-do attitude.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
