Job Details

We need local consultants based in NJ and it is fully onsite.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced FIS GMI Developer to support the development, customization, and maintenance of clearing and back-office systems for derivatives processing. The role focuses on enhancing trade reconciliation, margining, and regulatory reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support batch/online programs using COBOL, JCL, and mainframe utilities.
  • Implement Customize and enhance GMI for clearing, margin, and position management.
  • Integrate GMI with upstream/downstream systems using APIs, flat files, or messaging queues.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance.
  • Support regulatory updates and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct impact analysis and regression testing for system changes.
  • Collaborate with QA/UAT teams for validation.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including planning and code reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with FIS GMI and mainframe development.
  • Strong skills in COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and VSAM.
  • In-depth knowledge of derivatives (futures, options, OTC) and related processing.
  • Experience with GMI table structures, trade lifecycle, and accounting logic.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting (CFTC, EMIR, MiFID, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
