Overview

GovCIO is hiring a highly skilled Windows and Azure System Administrator with experience in cloud environments for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The candidate will maintain the infrastructure, ensure optimal system performance, and uphold stringent security measures. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize monitoring solutions to track system health, performance, and security.
  • Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and patch management to ensure system stability and efficiency.
  • Develop, enforce, and maintain security protocols to safeguard systems and sensitive data.
  • Perform routine security audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Ensure proper connectivity between on-prem sources and cloud destinations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system, network, and database issues efficiently .
  • Provide technical support for end-users and collaborate with IT teams to optimize system functionality.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology with 12+ years of experience or equivalent professional experience
  • Expertise in Self-Hosted Integration Runtime
  • Knowledge of cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Ability to troubleshoot storage performance issues.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing architecture to support scalable and efficient system development .
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Monitor and fine-tune SHIR to e nhance data transfer speed and reliability.
  • Optimize resource utilization to prevent bottlenecks.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
