Duties & Responsibilities

  • Adhere and follow all QHN policies and procedures as set forth by HR regulations.
  • Be available to support the Information Systems technical resource needs on a 24x7 schedule basis for all QHN and off-site locations.
  • Provide expert assistance and troubleshooting techniques to resolve all standard desktop's operating system, hardware and software and perform related technical duties and knowledgebase to troubleshoot and resolve all corporate application issues and problems.
  • Responsible to undertake and implement corporate wide software roll out and upgrade projects.
  • Coordinate and assist in desktop and other technical device roll out and relocations.
  • Assist in all hardware and software installations and troubleshooting needs.
  • Be able and available to handle phone calls from users and assist with their technical issues.
  • Perform Service Desk management duties such as problem evaluation, trouble tickets assignments, monitoring and efficient performance of the technical staff.
  • Monitor systems interface and communications utilities to handle vendor trouble tickets and implement their resolutions.
  • Aid in resolving network access issues, troubleshoot networking protocols and problems and serve in a backup capacity for the Network group on as needed basis.
  • Responsible to maintain hardware and software inventory through Excel and all other documentation relevant in providing efficient Service Desk support
  • Be able to assist with Asset management when needed and with computer hardware relinquishment, recording data in Excel spreadsheet
  • Assist with managing Appspace
  • Assist and handle various IT projects and coordinate with other IT resources
  • Perform expert technical analysis and research required to determine and implement business solutions
  • Perform all related technical duties


Minimum Qualifications
1. Graduation from a senior High School or evidence of having passes an examination for a High School equivalency diploma and four years of satisfactory full-time paid experience within a computer environment, at least one year of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity; or
2. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 above.

Department Preferences

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop hardware and software
  • Able to identify and resolve complex technical desktop problems.
  • Be able to lift and move computers, printers and other devices.
  • Be able to drive or use public transportation to commute to off-site locations


Years of Experience:
  • Three years' experience related to above responsibilities
  • Combination of A+/Network+ Certification will be accepted as the equivalent of 1 year experience.
