Job Title: Sr. Mainframe Systems Architect
Location: Remote (Candidate must reside in Pearl River, NY)
Position Type: Contract (09/15/2025 08/21/2026)
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Systems Architect to lead the design, optimization, and support of enterprise systems that drive operations, financial management, and productivity reporting. This role will partner closely with business and technology teams to architect scalable mainframe solutions across material management, work management, and accounting functions. While remote, occasional onsite participation may be required for specific workshops or meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement systems for Material Requisitioning & Material Variance Reporting to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation.
Design and optimize Productivity Reporting frameworks within Work Management Systems for real-time performance insights.
Develop and support Fiscal Calendar Management tools for financial planning and reporting cycles.
Lead initiatives for Unit of Property Identification, ensuring compliance with asset tracking and capitalization standards.
Build models for Activity-Based Accounting, including cost driver analysis and allocation methodologies.
Create systems for Work Unit Reporting, connecting operational metrics with financial outcomes.
Implement Crew-Based Labor Reporting to capture workforce distribution and productivity.
Must Have Technical Skills:
Advanced SQL & Stored Procedure expertise.
Proficiency in COBOL/370, CICS TS, DB2 v12.1.
Strong experience in data mapping, workflow migration, and ETL processes.
Skilled with QMF reporting, SPUFI, File-Manager, CA Intertest.
Deep knowledge of SAR View, VSAM, DFSORT, IDCAMS.
Prior experience supporting SCANA applications and developing integration modules for Work Management.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with CICS Web Interface, Web Services, API Management.
Exposure to MQ or similar message queuing technologies.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Visio for system documentation and presentations.
