Job Details

System One has an exciting AS400 Developer opportunity with a partner in the Columbus, OH area. This position is a 6 month fully remote position with occasional travel required.

Successful candidates must be able to provide proof of ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This position is not open to corp-to-corp, subcontractor or independent consulting arrangements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute product specification, system design, development and system integration
  • Develop new product concepts and development, deliver product prototypes
  • Conduct new technology research, concept specification and design of individual software components
  • Participate in product and program collaboration
  • Refactor implementations to standardize on an event driven architecture
  • Refactor web application and services to be completely stateless and cloud ready
  • Maintain, configure and improve integration with COTS platforms
  • Troubleshoot and fix problems and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
  • Complete other tasks as required
Experience, Education and Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in programming in RPG IV, RPGILE, RPG Free, CL, CLLE, COBOL, DDS, DDL, Embedded SQL development role
  • 8+ years of experience in database management, DB2 SQL, SQL Triggers, Stored Procedures, Performance Optimization
  • Strong knowledge and experience in web service models: RESTful Services, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, Token-Based Security
