RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in North Quincy, MA that is seeking a Databricks Developer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hands-on design, development, and delivery of scalable, framework-driven applications within the Databricks environment
* The Databricks Developer will translate abstract concepts into rapid prototypes and evolve them into production-grade solutions
* Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives
* As a Databricks Developer, you will design, build, and optimize high-performance data pipelines and services using Python and SQL
* Operate effectively in Unix/Linux environments, including scripting, system monitoring, and issue resolution
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven hands-on development experience in Python, with a strong background in building Databricks framework-based applications
* Exposure/understanding of DevOps best practice and CICD
* Deep expertise in Python, Databricks SQL/Scala, along with practical experience in Big Data ecosystems such as Pandas, Oracle PL/SQL, and Apache Spark
* Experience working in a multi-developer environment using version control (Git)
* Solid working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, including scripting, system monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype and deliver functional, testable solutions in dynamic environments
* Track record of successfully navigating major technology transitions, adapting to evolving tools and frameworks, and contributing to modernization initiatives
* Excellent communication with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
