Job Details
Job Title: Sr. Scrum Master
Location: Washington, DC/Remote
Duration:12+ Months
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
The Scrum Master follows the best practices and utilizes Agile/Project Management tools, methodologies and processes to successfully keep projects on budget and schedule through to full implementation and rollout of all hardware and software. These are large, complex programs and projects involving multiple departments at client's as well as different outside vendors and sub vendors depending upon the program/project.
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and processes.
Protect the team from external disruptions and facilitate smooth sprint execution.
Collaborate with leadership and product owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized.
Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team s progress.
Track and communicate team progress and metrics to project leadership
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables.
Support alignment of teams with organizational goals and objectives.
Promote a collaborative environment and resolve conflicts efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 8 years of experience utilizing management tools such as Jira as a Scrum Master.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum and Kanban. Experience in Safe is preferred.
Ability to facilitate adequate sprint planning, execution and post-review.
Proven experience in developing, maintaining and managing sprint boards, backlog management, queries, tasks, user stories, dashboards and reports.
Understanding of DevOps Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans and other agile project management products.
Ability to produce burndown charts based on variety of measures.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
Ability to remove obstacles and resolve conflicts within teams.
Scrum Master Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)). Agile Safe certification is a plus.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field is preferred.
