Data Modeler Architect
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler/Architect with strong expertise in People Analytics (HR, employee benefits, pensions, workforce data, etc.) to design, build, and optimize enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Snowflake, Azure, and Power BI, with proven ability to develop scalable data models, define data architecture standards, and deliver actionable insights across HR and employee-related domains.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Modeling
- Design and implement logical and physical data models for HR, benefits, pension, and people analytics use cases.
- Develop dimensional and semantic models optimized for Power BI and modern analytics.
- Define data modeling best practices across Snowflake and Azure-based data platforms.
Solution Delivery
- Partner with stakeholders in HR, Finance, and People Analytics to translate requirements into governed data models and dashboards.
- Implement data pipelines and transformations to support bronze/silver/gold architecture layers.
- Ensure data accuracy, lineage, and consistency across reporting environments.
Governance & Standards
- Establish data architecture guidelines for HR/People data, ensuring compliance, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with IT, analytics, and business stakeholders to enforce data governance, RBAC, and data quality practices.
Business Partnership
- Work with People Analytics teams to define KPIs, hierarchies, and measures across domains such as workforce planning, employee engagement, compensation, and benefits.
- Enable self-service analytics by delivering trusted and well-documented semantic layers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in data modeling and data architecture (conceptual, logical, and physical design).
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (schemas, warehouse optimization, data sharing, performance tuning).
- Solid background in Azure data ecosystem (ADLS, ADF, Synapse, etc.).
- Expertise in Power BI (DAX, tabular models, semantic layers, performance tuning).
Fivetran experience
- Deep domain knowledge in People Analytics HR, benefits, pensions, payroll, and employee lifecycle data.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ELT/ETL frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
