Job Details
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Front End Developer to join our cross-functional engineering team. You will build scalable, responsive, high-performance user interfaces that deliver exceptional digital experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about front-end development, experienced with modern JavaScript frameworks, and able to collaborate effectively with backend engineers and product partners. The Change of Ownership team manages all transactions related to Bankar accounts, including the inheritance, gifting, and internal transfer processes. The Barracudas team specifically owns the external UI application, DP, which is used by clients to request these ownership changes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain modern user interfaces using AngularJS and progressing into newer frameworks.
- Contribute to backend API development with Node.js, building efficient, robust services.
- Build serverless microservices and event-driven APIs using AWS Lambda.
- Develop and maintain the external UI application (DP).
- Implement new features and functionalities using Angular JS, and React
- Contribute to the team s effort to update and maintain the Angular framework, keeping it current (targeting Angular 16 or 12+).
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in both development and production environments.
- Perform initial testing, including writing and maintaining unit test cases, as the team does not have a dedicated testing group.
- Support continuous delivery pipelines and collaborate with DevOps to improve build/test/deploy automation.
- Collaborate with the team s Tech Lead, Senior Developers, and Co-op.
- Incorporate designs and potentially work with UX designers for brand new application capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 5 years of relevant front end development experience (Level 2 Developer).
- Core Skills: Proficiency in Angular JS, React and Node.js.
- Development Practices: Experience with unit testing, initial testing, and CICD processes.
- Application Architecture: Experience working with multi-page applications that utilize embedded Micro Frontends (MFE).
- Collaboration: Ability to work on-site in the Philadelphia office as a member of the core team.
BonFuture Skills:
- Experience with React (The team is looking to rewrite future applications and new capabilities in React, making this a plus).
- Experience with Typescript (especially on the Node.js side).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to write automated tests (Unit and Integration).
