Role Title: OTM Consultant
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 9 Months
Location: Remote (must support at least 4 hours overlap with EST)

Job Overview:
We are seeking 4 6 experienced Technical-Functional OTM Consultants to support two critical initiatives:

  1. OTM Upgrade Project Execute an on-premise, in-place upgrade of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) to version 6.5.3 across three environments, with a target completion by year-end.

  2. OTM Enhancements Develop and implement enhancements to support our Epes General Commodity business model.

This role requires strong technical and functional expertise in OTM, with a focus on solution development, upgrade execution, testing, and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of the OTM 6.5.3 upgrade across multiple environments.

  • Design and build new OTM functionality in alignment with evolving business needs.

  • Perform rigorous testing on enhancements, customizations, and upgrades.

  • Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database components for performance and scalability.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure compatibility across servers, middleware, and databases.

  • Manage patches, upgrades, and version control to maintain stability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve post-upgrade technical and functional issues.

  • Deliver clear documentation and knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).

  • Successfully completed at least two full lifecycle OTM upgrade projects.

  • Expertise with OTM version 6.5.x or similar major releases.

  • Strong grasp of OTM architecture, workflows, configurations, and integrations.

  • Experience with Oracle database administration and performance tuning in OTM environments.

  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and developing/maintaining stored procedures.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure components such as server migrations and middleware.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in large-scale logistics, transportation, or supply chain projects.

  • Exposure to performance testing and capacity planning for OTM systems.
