Job Details
We re looking for a Data Visualization Lead to design and develop interactive dashboards and visual tools using React and Deck.gl. This hands-on role combines technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into clear, impactful visuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Build high-performance, interactive visualizations using React and Deck.gl
Lead and mentor a small team of visualization engineers
Work with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to gather requirements
Optimize performance for large-scale geospatial and time-series data
Ensure visuals are accessible, responsive, and user-friendly
Maintain clean, scalable, and tested codebase
Required Qualifications:
8+ years in front-end development; 2+ years in data visualization
Strong in React.js, Deck.gl, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and WebGL/Canvas
Experience with D3.js, APIs, large datasets, and geospatial formats (GeoJSON, TopoJSON)
Leadership experience in engineering or team management
Strong communication and data storytelling skills
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Figma, Storybook, GIS, Redux/Zustand, and Vite/Webpack
Background in GIS, urban data, or agile development environments
